The Lady Bluestreaks had an awesome day participating in an all-day volleyball camp led by Coach Chet Snyder! Coach Snyder brought over 22 years of experience as a high school volleyball coach, sharing his knowledge, drills, and passion for the game.

We’re excited to introduce Mr. Todd Evers as the new principal of Martinsville Jr-Sr High School!
Mr. Evers brings 19 years of experience in education, including 13 years as a classroom teacher and 6 years in school administration. He began his career at Marshall High School, where he taught for 12 years and served as head football coach for 10 of those years.
Mr. Evers later served as assistant principal and athletic director at Monrovia High School (IN), where he spent 6 years leading school-wide initiatives focused on student achievement, staff collaboration, and building a strong, supportive school culture. Most recently, Mr. Evers returned to the classroom last year as a teacher at Martinsville Elementary, where he quickly became part of the school community and developed a deeper connection with the district.
Mr. Evers is passionate about creating a positive school environment that challenges and supports all students. He believes in the importance of relationships, communication, and working as a team with staff, students, families, and the broader community.
Outside of school, Mr. Evers is a proud husband to Nici, a third-grade teacher, and a devoted dad to their three daughters Grace, Maylee and Harper. As a family, they love being involved in the school community and cheering on the Bluestreaks together.

As we bid farewell to our incredible 7-12 Principal, Paul Higginbotham, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for his unwavering leadership and vision over the past three years. Paul has been instrumental in shaping our 7-12 building into a place of growth, learning, and community; his dedication has truly made a lasting impact.
While we will miss his guidance and positivity, we are excited to see him embark on his next chapter at Lawrenceville. We wish him all the best in this new journey and know he will continue to inspire and lead with the same passion and integrity.

🏀 Day 1 of Basketball Camp = Success! 🏀
We kicked off camp with over 50 enthusiastic campers ready to learn and grow! Today was all about building fundamentals, teamwork, and having FUN.
A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers and coaches who helped make it a fantastic experience for the kids. Can’t wait for Day 2!

For the past three weeks, our MES students have been having an absolute blast at our summer school program. They've been busy crafting, playing games, doing STEM projects, and reconnecting with friends-all while reinforcing their skills to prevent the summer slide.
From making delicious snow cones, flying around the United States, and even creating a stunning flower garden for our school and community, our Bluestreaks have truly shined.
A huge shoutout to our incredible summer school teachers: Mrs. Jenn, Ms. Sheila, Mrs. Hayes, and Miss Stephens. Thank you for your dedication to our students and making this an unforgettable experience.

We've got another full week of action and opportunities for our students.
Summer PE is still going strong at the Jr.-Sr. High School. Join Coach Staley Monday through Thursday for fun activities. All students are welcome!
High School Boys Basketball will be in action on Monday night at home with games at 5:45 PM and 6:30 PM. Spectators are welcome. Admission is $3.00
The High School Girls Basketball team will be traveling to Kansas on Tuesday for a shootout at 10:00 AM and will then travel to Effingham on Wednesday.
High School Volleyball is participating in a league at Marshall. This week they play on Tuesday at 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM and on Thursday at 6:15 PM and 7:30 PM. Spectators are welcome.
Junior High Boys will travel to Marshall for a scrimmage on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
Don't forget the weight room is open daily and there are open gym times throughout the week for students to come in and work on their skills.
