We all know that the mighty Bluestreaks are our favorite team, and Bluestreak BLUE is the pride of MES! But get ready, because Sunday is the SUPER BOWL! Our students have been gearing up for this exciting day by diving into their reading and tracking the minutes and hours they've spent immersed in books. It's a close race, and we can hardly wait to find out who will take home the "Reading Lombardi Trophy" or nachos!
In honor of the incredible history of the Super Bowl students are encouraged to wear their red or green this Friday to show support for their chosen team! Will you be cheering for the Chiefs to achieve their 3-peat? Or do you believe the Eagles will soar to victory? Let's make this Super Bowl memorable in our red, green, or as always we love to wear our Bluestreak blue.

Congratulations to Billy Snearley for being selected by the Junior High Boys Basketball Coaches for showing good sportsmanship in the 7th grade Regional Championship Game. Way to go Billy!

MES had the honor of cheering for our 7th grade basketball team in the Regional Championship on Wednesday. While the Bluestreaks fought hard they fell short of the win. However, that doesn't stop the pride we feel for our students! We are so proud and impressed by the way our 5th and 6th grade students represented MES. There are many more big games ahead for these kids. Keep working hard Bluestreaks!

MES had an exciting and engaging end to the week. Mrs. Young and Mrs. Poston "let the dogs out" to help us celebrate 101 days of learning. Students and staff also combined learning and fun starting the day with a school wide duck hunt searching for 101 hidden ducks throughout the school. Some "lucky ducks" even won prizes.
Adding to a great day, Mrs. Feliciano's class had a guest reader who wears many hats in our community. Thank you Mr. Wilson for taking the time as a dad, firefighter, and Mrs. Paula's son to share a story with our students. It's always wonderful to see students and staff make learning fun and memorable.

There has been a schedule change next week for the High School Boys and High School Girls Basketball games on February 7th. These games will be played AT Ramsey High School.

Our 7th Grade Boys are taking the court tonight at 6 PM for the Regional Championship at Martinsville! Let’s show up, be loud, and pack the stands in BLUE to cheer them on to victory! 💙
