It was a great day to be a Bluestreak!The JFL players were honored at halftime. Thanks to the Booster Club for providing the cake to honor the seniors after the game! Way to go BLUE!

Today is Senior Night for 13 members of the Class of 2025. Seniors and their parents will be honored at 1:30PM on the football field. There will be a cake reception immediately following the game in the High School Cafeteria. We are so proud of this group and are excited that this will not be the last game of the season. They have advanced to the IL 8 Man Playoffs and will host next weekend. Date and opponent will be announced as soon as we know.

The National Honor Society Chapter at Martinsville Jr/Sr High School recently elected officers for the 2024/2025 school year.
Students who have a 3.0 GPA and are a current Junior or Senior are eligible to apply for membership. Eligible students have received nomination forms that must be completed and turned into Mrs. Lowry by October 29th. New members will be inducted during a banquet that will be held at the Martinsville Community Center on November 7th in the evening.

FREE Rock Concert Tuesday night at MHS! The entire community is welcome to attend...there will be a concession stand open just prior to the concert.

There are several opportunities over the next few days to catch the Bluestreaks in action.
Thursday:
-The High School Volleyball team will compete for 5th place in the EIC Tournament at St. Elmo, starting at 5:30 PM.
-The Junior High Girls Basketball team will play against Red Hill at 6:15 PM.
Friday:
-The 7th Grade Girls Basketball team will face Jasper County in the LEIC Tournament at Robinson, with tip-off at 4:00 PM.
Saturday:
-The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team will take on Jasper County in the LEIC Tournament at Robinson at 10:15 AM.
-Our 7-1 Football team will host Blue Ridge at HOME, beginning at 2:00 PM.

Red Ribbon Week at MES is next week!

There will be a free community concert with the rock band Attaboy on October 29th at 7:00 PM in the HS Gym...a concession stand will be open prior to the concert.

Some seniors at Martinsville Jr/Sr High School recently participated in job shadowing experiences during the month of October. This valuable opportunity allows students to observe and learn from community members in their professional environments.
The school is excited to provide this opportunity for students to gain firsthand insights into various careers. These hands-on experiences can empower students to make more informed decisions about their future college and career paths.
Any senior who would like to set up a job shadow experience, please see Mrs. Lowry.

Tonight is the CCC Fair in the MHS Gym from 5-7 PM. There will be a chance to win a $200.00 Wal-Mart gift card for those in attendance who sign-in and complete the registration.

Vincennes University will have admission counselors at tomorrow night's CCC Fair! Come hear about their programs!
