It's great night for the Bluestreaks! Both 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams win vs New Hebron. 7th grade 33-7 8th grade 44-9

Mrs. Young’s students kicked off 2026 by setting their New Year’s goals and dreaming big for the months ahead! 🎉📚 They also enjoyed a very special guest reader from Mrs. Feliciano’s class who stopped by to share a story, making the day even more meaningful. Mrs. Paula was especially excited to add brand-new WOW papers to our office WOW Wall...what a great way to celebrate strong starts and student success! 🌟 We are officially off to a fantastic start in 2026!

JH Volleyball Results vs Neoga 7th grade WINS 25-15, 25-17 8th grade WINS 25-22, 25-20

Spring is just around corner !!

K-2nd grade had a music snowball fight and after they threw the snowballs the students had to unwad the piece of paper and read or clap the rhythm. Fun was had by all!!

The Board of Education meeting for January has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 22nd at 6pm in the Elementary School library.

So proud of these talented Martinsville Junior-Senior High students from Mrs. Murphy’s English class!

7th grader Natalie Webb earned 1st Place and 8th grader Ben Jenness earned 3rd Place in the VFW District 17 Patriots Pen Essay Contest. What an impressive accomplishment! Their essays will now move on to the next level of competition.

In the coming weeks, Natalie and Ben will be invited to read their winning essays at a ceremony hosted by General Hill Post 3601 in Paris, IL.

JH Boys Basketball Results vs Oblong 7th grade lost 19-37 8th grade won 30-16

Both 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams WIN vs Paris-Crestwood. Way to go Bluestreaks! 7th grade 15-25, 25-11, 15-10 8th grade 25-19, 25-23

Way to go Lady Bluestreaks! That's a WIN vs Okaw Valley 48-30.

Starting next week, students will ride the school bus to the Martinsville Bible Church after school to particiate.

While students enjoy their last day of break, our teachers are back in the buildings preparing for a strong start tomorrow. Today included meaningful professional learning with guest speaker Jeremy Clodfelder – Build A Better Boat, which focused on navigating challenges, leading with clarity, and performing at the highest level.

Staff also enjoyed a fun white elephant gift exchange, a delicious breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria staff, and spent time getting classrooms ready to welcome students back. We’re excited to start the new year strong! 💙🤍

📍 Important update: Due to construction at Neoga, the 1/8 game will be played at Emerald Aces in Mattoon at 4:30 PM.

🏀 JH Boys Basketball will compete in the LEIC Tournament that begins on January 9th at Paris-Mayo:
• 7th Grade vs Hut/Pal — 5:00 PM
• 8th Grade vs Oblong — 6:15 PM
Winners advance to games on Saturday, January 10th.

• Away at LaSalette Academy
• Home game on Friday — come out and support the Bluestreaks!
