At Martinsville Elementary, we know that paraprofessionals are the key to helping students thrive. We are truly grateful for the dedicated paraprofessionals in Martinsville School District who work alongside teachers every day to support student learning and success. This past week, three of our Martinsville Elementary paraprofessionals attended the very first Central Illinois Paraprofessional Boot Camp held in Mattoon. The three-day training was part of the Illinois SLD Support Project and provided an incredible opportunity for professional growth. Our team of paraprofessionals returned with a wealth of knowledge, strategies, and resources they are eager to share with staff and students when we return to school. We are proud of their commitment to learning and excited to see the positive impact it will have in our classrooms.

Martinsville Jr./Sr High School held our annual Fall Sports Meeting for athletes and their families gearing up for the upcoming Junior High and High School seasons. Superintendent Mr. Waggoner and Principal Mr. Evers emphasized the importance of putting academics first, reminding our student-athletes that success starts in the classroom. Coaches also shared their expectations for the season and are excited to officially kick off practices soon. If you’re new to the district or were unable to attend, please reach out to Athletic Director, Mrs. Lowry at lowrya@martinsville.K12.il.us. She'd be happy to get you the information you need.
