Kindergarten has been hard at work! 💙
Our little Bluestreaks have been busy learning all about the letter B — from bulldozers to books and plenty of hands-on fun! They’ve gone on leaf hunts to create science projects, enjoyed nursery rhymes and story time, and even had a special Ag in the Classroom lesson with Miss Kambry. 📚

New Teacher Tuesday!!

Happy National Coaches Day!
Today, we pause to celebrate and thank every one of our incredible Bluestreak coaches for all that you do. Coaching is often a thankless job filled with long hours, early mornings, late nights, endless preparation, and constant care for players, teams, and programs.
Your unwavering commitment, passion for teaching, and love for our Bluestreaks never go unnoticed. Coaches wear so many hats: mentor, teacher, counselor, motivator, and sometimes even parent. Each one of you do it all with pride, purpose, and heart.
We are beyond grateful for your dedication to our student-athletes and our school community.
Thank you, coaches today and every day!
It's a great day to be a Bluestreak!

The Jr.-Sr. High School Marching Band led by Miss Linda Carpenter participated in the Homecoming Parade on Friday and the Heath Festival Parade on Saturday. This amazing group of 7th - 11th grade students sounded great!! Way to go Bluestreaks💙⚡️🎶

Check out the Athletic Events for the Week!

Smiles all around to wish you a happy weekend from MES! 💙😊
Our Bluestreaks ended the week with joy, laughter, and plenty of smiles to share. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Anyone want to catch a ride? 🚲💙
Our Bluestreaks love to pedal and play on our new bikes and court — all thanks to a grant Mr. Waggoner secured for our kids! This summer our school was able to add an awesome basketball/pickle ball/bike pad for our kids along with new bikes. This new space gives students a fun way to build their gross motor skills, stay active, and enjoy time with friends. Just look at those smiles! 😄

We rounded out the week with our boots, hats, and Bluestreaks! 💙🤠
From cowboy hats to big smiles, our halls were full of spirit and fun. We even had a student who matched Gertie Goose herself — now that’s Bluestreak style! There’s plenty of smiles and spirit to share with you all!

Huge thank you to Debbie Pleij, owner of View from the Ville, for taking our athletic team and individual photos. She invests an incredible amount of time, effort, and attention to detail to make these pictures flawless. When your athlete’s photos are ready, Debbie will send parents a text or email with instructions to view the gallery. Questions? Contact Debbie at (217) 686-0201.

📚💙 MES is keeping busy! From welcoming a visiting reader from our ROE, to cozy pajama days, denim days, bubble-blowing fun, and celebrating the amazing work (and love 💗) Miss Joy shares with us each day — our Bluestreaks have been learning, laughing, and making memories together!

Our Bluestreaks busted out the camo for Homecoming Week! The camo was so good, recess turned into a giant game of hide-and-seek! 😂 We may be in camo, but we can’t hide our Bluestreak pride! 🎉 #BluestreakPride #HomecomingWeek

✨🥚 Gertie Goose is still busy handing out those famous Golden Eggs filled with special surprises for our class winners! Today, Gertie teamed up with Miss Jenn to bring an extra cool treat — snow cones 🍧 — for Mrs. Skidmore’s little Bluestreaks. What a sweet way to celebrate hard work and GRIT! 💙
