The Junior High Lady Bluestreaks are competing in the LEIC Conference Tournament today at Palestine. The 7th grade team plays Robinson at 4:50 pm and the 8th grade team plays Jasper County at 6:00 pm. Good Luck!

Paleta Fun in Kindergarten!
Our kindergarteners finally got to eat and enjoy their homemade paletas (Spanish for popsicles)! This week’s lessons were full of sweet learning with our students reading stories, creating their own recipes, and making delicious fruit popsicles from scratch.
From these frozen smiles 😋it's safe to say this story and lesson were a huge hit!
Mrs. Smith’s 2nd graders have been in the fall spirit! From math and reading to hands-on art and writing, they’ve been working hard in the classroom and having fun while doing it.
Students have been exploring fall themes through stories, seasonal crafts, and colorful classroom projects that show just how much they’re learning and growing each day.
We love seeing our Bluestreaks work hard, think creatively, and celebrate the season together!
Our 5th graders have been busy this week creating special oil pastel turkeys just in time for Family Reading Night in November! These vibrant turkeys will be paired with Thanksgiving and turkey-themed storybook titles to help decorate our halls and inspire a love of reading.
Students learned how to blend and layer colors using oil pastels to create depth, texture, and bold color combinations. The results are simply stunning, full of creativity and personality!
We can’t wait for our families to see their beautiful artwork on display during Family Reading Night!
Mrs. Setzer’s students have been busy celebrating fall with stories, creativity, and color! After reading autumn-themed books, students created their own pumpkin artwork exploring how crayons resist watercolor and experimenting with oil pastels to make their pumpkins pop with texture and color.
Hands-on lessons like these help our students discover the science and art behind creativity while letting their imaginations shine!
5th Grade Scientists in Action!
Mrs. Conzen’s 5th graders have been hard at work researching, experimenting, and working together as a team to learn through hands-on discovery! From testing ideas to recording data and sharing results, these young scientists are learning that collaboration and curiosity go hand in hand.
Their classroom has been buzzing with excitement as they explore the “why” and “how” behind the world around them proving that learning is at its best when we dive in, ask questions, and work together.
Today we’re celebrating our Jr.-Sr. High School Principal, Mr. Evers! Many of you may remember him from last year as our Elementary P.E. teacher, and we’re so glad he’s continued to share his passion for education and leadership with our students at the Jr-Sr High School level. Before joining the Bluestreak family, Mr. Evers brought years of administrative experience from the Monrovia School District. His dedication, positivity, and school spirit shine through every day and we’re lucky to have him leading the way. Thank you, Mr. Evers, for all you do for our students, staff, and community!

Fall is in the air for Mrs. Poston’s first graders! Students used their fingers to paint colorful fall leaves in shades of red, yellow, and orange while learning about focal points in artwork.
They also enjoyed reading favorite fall stories like When the Leaf Blew In and The Leaf Thief to inspire their creations. Our young artists had a blast getting their hands messy, mixing colors, and creating beautiful fall scenes that will be proudly displayed during Family Reading Night in November!

Our kindergarten students had so much fun diving into the story Paletero Man (Popsicle Man) that we just had to share a few more sweet smiles!
Mrs. Feliciano’s kindergarten students had a sweet time learning the letter P with the story Paletero Man (Popsicle Man) shared in both English and Spanish!
This lesson was more than just about popsicles. It was about language, culture, and connection. Students explored new words, celebrated diversity, and even made their own fruit popsicles to enjoy!

Four of our Martinsville choir students traveled to Eastern Illinois University for the Youth in Harmony Festival!
They spent the day learning about barbershop-style music, rehearsing with other talented students, and capped it off with an evening concert performance.
