These students were nominated by staff for showing true GRIT and going above and beyond each day to spread kindness and positivity throughout our school. We are so proud of the example they set for others and the positive impact they make at MES. As a special treat, two names were drawn, and those students won a McDonald’s lunch with Mrs. Carver! 🍔🥤

Mrs. Evers and Mrs. Manuel got extra creative with their 2nd quarter AR classroom reward by planning a snow party for their students! With the help of parents packing winter gear, all that was left was waiting on the weather. We finally had the snow… and today the temps were just right — so today was the day! The kids had an absolute blast playing in the snow, making memories, and enjoying every chilly minute. We have lots of pictures from this fun-filled day, so keep an eye out this weekend! Even those who don’t love snow can’t deny the joy it brings when you see it through the eyes of kids. 💙☃️

The Winter Olympics may now officially proceed all thanks to Mrs. Young's first graders! Our young Olympians didn’t just craft torches; they also learned about the history and meaning of the Olympic Games, teamwork, and traditions from around the world. They proudly held their torches high as they left school today. Go Team First Grade! 🥇

We are filled with excitement for our January Brain Buster winners today! Mrs. Cooper even had a student who chose the reward to be the principal. This kiddo was happy to show her the ropes. I mean being a principal is mostly about kicking your feet back on the desk and relaxing. It was a wonderful day of learning across the building.

Shout-out to Ag in the Classroom and Hershey’s in Robinson! Our Ag in the Classroom lesson, brought to us by Kambry Price, was all about chocolate and what a sweet lesson it was! Mrs. Ellington’s 4th graders have been hard at work, not only learning about agriculture, chocolate production, and where our food comes from but working on those reading writing and creating skills. Thanks to Hershey’s in Robinson for generously donating KING-SIZE candy bars for our students. What an amazing treat and a fun way to connect learning with real-world experiences! Learning is always sweet at MES!

Our first graders celebrated the 101st Day of School in the cutest way possible...dressed as 101 Dalmatians! Don’t worry… Cruella didn’t stand a chance against all this fun, learning, and Bluestreak joy! These puppies were busy celebrating, smiling, and soaking up every minute of their special day.

How can it be that we’re already celebrating the 100th Day of School?! The 100th day is special because it marks so much more than a number. We’ve spent 100 days building friendships, making memories, growing confidence, and learning what it means to be kind, responsible, and hardworking Bluestreaks. In 100 days, our students have learned to read more, write more, problem-solve, collaborate, and believe in themselves. Every single day has added up to growth we are so proud of. Keep an eye out this week. There will be lots of 100-year-olds, creative projects, hands-on learning, and so much fun happening at MES! 📸 More posts coming all week long!

What a great day at MES! Our kids enjoyed Starbooks, bowling, and lots of hands-on learning throughout the building. We were also excited to have one of our High School Foundation of Teaching students jump in and help teach a social studies lesson in 5th grade. What a great example of leadership and giving back! From teamwork and engagement to smiles and school pride, days like today remind us how special MES truly is. We are so proud of our Bluestreaks and the learning happening every single day! 💙
