Our 3rd graders rolled up their sleeves for a Pumpkin Investigation Lab — measuring, counting seeds, and discovering all the fun math and science inside a pumpkin! Our kindergarten readers are growing stronger every day, and our 2nd graders showed incredible focus and creativity as they wrapped up their fall projects. All of our students had a fantastic week and are ready to jump into another one full of learning and fun!

Our young artists have been busy creating oil pastel masterpieces just in time for Family Reading Night. Students learned how to blend colors, add shadows, and bring their pumpkins and owls to life with texture and detail. Their fall artwork is absolutely beautiful and a true celebration of creativity and learning!

The Awesome Possum Award

We’re so proud to announce the September & October’s Awesome Possum Award winners, presented by Possum’s Purpose, a non-profit organization created in loving memory of Austin J. Smith.

Possum’s Purpose is dedicated to spreading acceptance and understanding for those affected by mental illness and working to reduce the loss of lives to suicide. Through their mission, they remind us all of the power of kindness, inclusion, and compassion.

The Awesome Possum Award is given each month to a student who goes above and beyond to make our school a better place. Someone who shows empathy, lifts others up, and makes everyone feel like they belong.

Students are nominated by their peers and teachers for their “awesome possum” behavior — the small acts of kindness that make a big difference.

Let’s celebrate these incredible students who remind us that kindness truly matters.

We were back to work today after a fun-filled weekend! Trick-or-treating didn’t slow our Bluestreaks down one bit. No tricks here, just students showing GRIT and getting right back to learning!

Monster Math Off Madness!

Last week, our students took on the Monster Math Off - a fun and competitive way to practice their multiplication facts! Together, they answered an incredible 44,929 questions correctly!

The top High School and Junior High winners each earned a dozen homemade Monster Cookies and a treat bag, while the other eight students in the Top 10 took home a half-dozen cookies and treat bags of their own!

Congratulations to Mrs. Jenness’ High School class and Ms. Stephens’ Junior High Bluestreak period, who had the **highest number of questions answered correctly** and celebrated today with some delicious homemade cookies!

It was a spooktacular fun way to sharpen our math skills and celebrate learning!
