Congratulations to our February Brain Buster Winners!
These lucky Bluestreaks had their names drawn for a special prize after earning Brain Buster tickets for their hard work and dedication to mastering their math facts! With so many tickets in the drawing, the competition was tough, which makes being selected even more exciting!
We are so proud of all the students who are putting in the effort to strengthen their math skills. Every ticket represents practice, perseverance, and growth!
Keep it up, Bluestreaks! We love seeing you challenge yourselves and celebrate learning. Who will be our next Brain Buster winners? Stay tuned! 💙

Mrs. Setzer’s kindergarteners have been busy learning and having fun during Read Across America Week!
The class spent time rhyming along with The Cat in the Hat, exploring measurement by seeing how long their feet are all working hard while learning in creative ways.
From silly rhymes to hands-on math, these kindergarteners are proving that learning can be both fun and exciting!
Way to go, Mrs. Setzer’s class! Our Bluestreak learners are off to a great start.

Mrs. Manuel’s students have been busy finding special ways to celebrate Read Across America Week!
Today they took a page right out of the Dr. Seuss classic and gave Green Eggs and Ham a try! The class had a blast mixing, cooking, and tasting their creations while bringing the story to life.
Hands-on learning like this helps make reading fun, memorable, and delicious! Who knew literacy could taste so good?

Spring is right around the corner and that means so is SOFTBALL SEASON! 🥎 The Lady Bluestreaks are ready to hit the field and compete. Check out the schedule, mark your calendars, and make plans to come out and support your Bluestreaks this season. Let’s pack the stands in Royal Blue!
With spring also comes unpredictable weather and plenty of rain. Please be sure to check the school Facebook page for any weather-related cancellations or schedule changes. We will do our best to make those decisions by 2:00 PM whenever possible.
It’s a great day to be a Bluestreak!

The JH Boys Basketball team and Cheerleaders wrapped up their season with a great end-of-the-year banquet celebrating all their hard work and accomplishments!
It was a season full of dedication, growth, teamwork, and Bluestreak pride. We are so proud of the effort these athletes gave all year long — on the court and on the sidelines.
A huge THANK YOU to our coaches for their leadership, to our players and cheerleaders for their commitment, and to the parents for their continued support throughout the season.

🐷💋 If a Bluestreak Gives a Pig a Kiss… 💋🐷
We all know what happens if you give a pig a pancake or a party thanks to Laura Numeroff.
But what happens if a Bluestreak gives a pig a kiss?
Wellllll… that pig might start showing GRIT.
It might become extra responsible.
It might even start loving reading, math, and cheering, "Go Bluestreaks!” 💙
You just never know what kind of magic happens when a Bluestreak gets involved!
From now until next Friday, we are hosting a Coin Drive where students can bring in change and place it in the cup of the staff member they would like to see pucker up and kiss a pig! 🐽
All money raised will go toward:
🎯 IAR prizes
🎪 Our Reading & Academic Carnival
🎉 End-of-the-year activities and awards
Every coin counts, and every laugh helps us celebrate learning in BIG ways!
So start checking those couch cushions and car cup holders… because this could get interesting!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
Mrs. Young’s class celebrated in true Seussian style today! After reading Green Eggs and Ham, they decided to channel their inner Sam-I-Am and ask the big question…
“Would you like them here or there? Would you like them anywhere?”
So what did they do? They made their very own green eggs in class!
Just like in the story, some were unsure at first… but many discovered that trying something new can turn a “No way!” into a “Hey, this is okay!”
We love seeing our Bluestreaks bringing books to life, making connections, and learning that sometimes you just have to take a taste to see!
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! Thank you for reminding us to read boldly and try new things!

Mrs. Poston’s first graders are on 🔥 in math!
These bright Bluestreaks counted their way ALL the way to 1,000 ~ that’s 10 hundreds, 100 tens, and 1,000 ones of pure determination! 💙⚡
We are so proud of their focus and perseverance. Counting to 1,000 is no small task, but this group showed true GRIT and proved they are absolute math geniuses in the making!
