Our 3rd graders had a wonderful time celebrating their AR success with a special party at Woodland Park this week! These Bluestreak readers worked hard to meet their goals, and we are so proud of their dedication to reading. It was a beautiful day to relax, play, and celebrate all of their accomplishments. Great job, 3rd grade! Keep turning those pages!

Miss Kambry has our students at MES chirping with excitement! 🐣 Thanks to Ag in the Classroom, our students will get to watch the life cycle of chicks and see them hatch right in their classrooms. What an egg-cellent hands-on learning experience for our Bluestreaks! A big thank you to Kambry Price and Ag in the Classroom for helping bring this amazing opportunity to our students. We can’t wait to see those little chicks hatch! 🐥🥚

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff for the incredible support shown during our very first Bluestreak Bakery Pop-Up! 🧁💙 The response was wonderful, and it truly meant so much to both our students and staff who helped make it happen. Our students worked hard preparing baked goods, confirming orders, handling money, and delivering treats throughout the building. They absolutely loved being part of the experience, and it was so rewarding to watch them practice real-life skills while building confidence along the way. A huge shout out goes to Mrs. Cochnour! Way to take an idea and run with it.

Mrs. Ellington’s 4th graders put their five senses to the test today with a fun candy experiment! Students used their senses to explore different candies, observing how they looked, smelled, felt, and of course—how they tasted. Judging by their faces, some treats were sweet while others were definitely SOUR! 😆

🐷💋 The Kiss the Pig Contest is off to a great start at MES! 💋🐷 Our Bluestreaks have been bringing in their change, and the race is getting exciting! Right now our top three teachers are neck and neck — Mrs. Conzen, Mrs. Feliciano, and Mrs. Manuel! Who will end up giving the pig a big smooch? 😘🐷 We’ll find out Friday when the contest wraps up! All money raised will help support IAR incentives, our Reading Carnival, and end-of-year celebrations. Keep those coins coming, Bluestreaks!

Congratulations to the Lady Bluestreaks. They beat Effingham Sacred Heart today and advance in post season play. Next game is Tuesday, March 10 at HOME vs West Salem. Game time approximately 5:45.

🦖🦕 More DINO-mite fun in Preschool! 🦕🦖 Our little paleontologists had an amazing time digging, discovering, and learning all about dinosaurs! From fossil making to dinosaur digs, these Bluestreak scientists were busy exploring the prehistoric world. Here are a few more snapshots from their roaring good adventure! 🦴🔍💙

🏐 Game Day for the 8th Grade Lady Bluestreaks! 🏐 The 8th Grade Lady Bluestreaks take the court today at HOME in the Regional Tournament as they face Effingham Sacred Heart at 10:15 AM. Let’s pack the gym and show these girls our support as they battle for a regional win! Let’s go Bluestreaks! 💙🏐

🦕💥 It’s been a DINO-mite time in Preschool at MES! 💥🦕 Our preschool paleontologists have been hard at work digging into their dinosaur unit! Students explored what it’s like to be a real paleontologist by participating in dinosaur digs, creating their own fossils, and learning how to classify different types of dinosaurs. From tiny fossils to giant discoveries, our little Bluestreak scientists showed amazing curiosity, teamwork, and excitement while learning about these prehistoric creatures. 🦴🔍 We are so proud of our preschoolers for their hard work and big imaginations. It’s safe to say this unit was truly DINO-mite! 🦖💙

🐾📚 A Special Visitor at MES! 📚🐾 Biscuit made a special visit to Martinsville Elementary today to help us celebrate Read Across America Week! Our favorite little pup stopped by to see all the amazing reading happening in our first grade! Biscuit said he is so proud of how hard our little Bluestreaks are working on their reading and loved seeing students excited about books! 🐶💙

The Lady Bluestreaks and their coaches traveled to Normal, Illinois to attend the state final basketball games and watch some of the best teams in Illinois compete. It was a great opportunity to see high-level basketball, learn from the experience, and spend the day together as a team.
