The Lady Bluestreaks got it done tonight with a big 50–39 victory over Macon Meridian! With the win, they advance to the Regional Championship and will take on Cumberland on Thursday, February 19 at 6:00 PM at Casey-Westfield High School.
Let’s pack the stands and cheer them on as they battle for the title.

Martinsville defeated Okaw Valley 56–33 and are moving on to the Regional Semi-Final.
They will face Macon Meridian on Monday, February 16 at Casey with a 7:30 PM tip-off.

The 8th grade Lady Bluestreaks competed in the LEIC Conference Tournament today and battled hard in a three-set match against Robinson.

Valentine party fun from Mrs. Gullquists room.
Mrs. Poston’s class had so much fun playing games, sharing valentines, and of course enjoying lots of yummy candy and treats!
Mrs. Manuel sprinkled a little extra sweetness into her student's day. They squealed with joy to receive their Valentine balloons as a special surprise for her.
The room was filled with laughter during competitive games, creativity flowing through beautiful paintings, and smiles all around while enjoying special treats. They had a great day of fun!
Students made creative connections from their reading to art by creating adorable “love monsters!” Using a unique technique, they blew paint through a straw to design their masterpieces making each one totally one-of-a-kind.
This fun activity sparked creativity, built fine motor skills, and brought so much joy to our young artists!
Mr. Gard is a student teacher in Mrs. Conzen's class and these two teachers have been busy making learning come alive in 5th grade! From exploring constellations in their science unit to studying the Underground Railroad in social studies and even holding class court their students have been actively engaged and thinking deeply.
Students designed a meaningful quilt project tied to their Underground Railroad studies with a writing project and took their space unit to the next level by researching, writing, and creating their own constellations.
It’s always inspiring to see cross-curricular learning in action when subjects connect, engagement grows, and students truly get excited about their learning. Great things are happening in 5th grade!

Mrs. Smith’s 2nd graders had the best time celebrating Valentine’s Day! From exciting games and creative crafts to treats galore, the fun never stopped. The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and lots of sweet memories being made.
There are monsters in Kindergarten… but they are the BEST kind! Mrs. Feliciano’s students have been busy creating their Valentine bags inspired by Love Monster by Rachel Bright.
After she read this heartwarming story about a little monster who just wants to belong, students created their very own “Love Monsters” to collect their valentines. The classroom was filled with bright colors, big monster eyes, and even bigger smiles!
Mrs. Feliciano planned a variety of
lessons to go along with the book, helping students learn about friendship, kindness, acceptance, and the importance of being exactly who you are. ❤️ What a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day while reinforcing such meaningful life lessons!
From creative classroom projects and hands-on learning to celebrations and lots of smiles, it’s been another fantastic week at MES! We love seeing our students engaged, excited, and making memories together.
Mrs. Skidmore’s class was full sweet smiles as they celebrated Valentine’s Day with their classmates.
They created the most adorable little love bugs and they were absolutely precious!

Mrs. Young’s Valentines had the sweetest time creating their Valentine holders and they are simply bee-utiful! From bright yellow stripes to tiny wings add those smiling faces and their hard work really created a hive of happiness in the classroom.
