5 Essential survey
We are proud to celebrate three of our High School Band students who were selected to participate in the First IECC Jazz Festival at Lincoln Trail College!

Grace Penrod, Kaitlyn Rankin, and Anna-Marie Maxey were chosen from nominations to take part in this incredible opportunity. Throughout the day, they rehearsed alongside members of the Lincoln Trail College and OCC Jazz Bands, gaining valuable experience in jazz performance and collaboration.

After a full day of practice, they showcased their hard work in a 6:00 PM concert. They worked hard, learned a great deal, and had a lot of fun representing Martinsville.

We are proud of these talented Bluestreak musicians for stepping outside their comfort zones and embracing this opportunity!

Our preschoolers have been learning all about clothing this week, and Miss Julia and Miss Raissa helped make it extra fun by letting the kids dye their very own socks! From choosing colors to watching the magic happen, our little learners were all smiles. Hands-on learning + creativity = the best kind of preschool day! 🌈💙

These students were nominated by staff for showing true GRIT and going above and beyond each day to spread kindness and positivity throughout our school. We are so proud of the example they set for others and the positive impact they make at MES. As a special treat, two names were drawn, and those students won a McDonald’s lunch with Mrs. Carver! 🍔🥤

Mrs. Evers and Mrs. Manuel got extra creative with their 2nd quarter AR classroom reward by planning a snow party for their students! With the help of parents packing winter gear, all that was left was waiting on the weather. We finally had the snow… and today the temps were just right — so today was the day! The kids had an absolute blast playing in the snow, making memories, and enjoying every chilly minute. We have lots of pictures from this fun-filled day, so keep an eye out this weekend! Even those who don’t love snow can’t deny the joy it brings when you see it through the eyes of kids. 💙☃️
