GLOW RUN/WALK — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3!
The Class of 2027 is getting ready to LIGHT UP THE NIGHT with a Glow Run/Walk!
We will be starting at the Martinsville Fairgrounds and heading out for a fun night of running, walking, glow, and Bluestreak spirit!
Saturday, October 3
Registration: 6:00–6:45 p.m.
Race begins: 7:00 p.m.
Starting Location: Martinsville Fairgrounds
Students: $20 | Adults: $25

Our 6th grade students had a day full of Dolly fun, from special activities and a little Dolly Parton Family Feud to a field trip to the Martinsville Library!
A HUGE thank you to our Martinsville Public Library for partnering with us! They taught our students about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, helped them learn more about our wonderful hometown library, and even planned a fun scavenger hunt.
The fun continued with some time enjoying Woodlands Park before heading back to school.
The cheerleaders and spirit sparklers have been practicing and are ready to perform for all of you tomorrow night at the football game. The Bluestreaks will host Pal/Hut at 6:00 pm.
No bones about it…Mrs. Skidmore’s second graders bring in unique Show & Tell surprises.
One of her special Students of the Week brought in a skeletal surprise to share with the class...a plastic skeleton!
His classmates had a skele-ton of fun checking out his bony buddy. We’re pretty sure this Show & Tell was humerus, totally hip, and definitely gave everyone something to rib about!
Just another day of learning and having a little funny bone fun in second grade!
Our preschoolers were fluttering into Dolly Day with lots of color and creativity!
Miss Sanders' preschoolers had fun creating their own beautiful butterfly projects in honor of Dolly.
Dolly always loved butterflies and what they represent...dreaming big, spreading your wings, and becoming something beautiful.
There was plenty of singing, smiling, and first-grade sparkle Mrs. Young's room. Dolly says to “find out who you are and do it on purpose,” and today these little Bluestreaks decided they were SUPERSTARS!
MES always goes above and beyond to make school fun, create special memories, and show our little Bluestreaks just how much they are loved. Today they brought the sparkle, the smiles, and plenty of Dolly spirit!
We sure are lucky to have a staff that knows how to work hard, have fun, and make MES shine!
Throughout the day, we played different Dolly songs from the office, and classrooms raced to call in and correctly name the song. The first class to get it right won a prize for their teacher!
There were lots of laughs, plenty of Dolly spirit, and maybe just a little friendly competition!
✨💖 Dolly Day at MES! 💖✨
We had a fantastic day celebrating Dolly Parton at MES! Our Bluestreaks spent the day reading, creating, learning about Dolly’s Imagination Library, and spreading lots of joy, laughter, and kindness.
One special project was making colorful crayon butterflies that will be delivered to local nursing homes to decorate residents’ windows and doors and spread a little Dolly cheer!
Dolly always believed in dreaming big, loving others, and making the world a little brighter and today our Bluestreaks did just that.
The elementary students had some special greeters this morning!
A big thank you to our High School Cheerleaders for helping welcome our students and get their day started with smiles and Bluestreak spirit!
We love seeing our older students making a positive impact on our younger Bluestreaks. 💙🤍
Our sixth graders have been busy exploring the wonders of SPACE!
Students put their learning into action by creating space projects and preparing presentations to share what they discovered.
From researching and creating to presenting in front of their classmates, our Blue Streaks have been working hard and showing off their knowledge! We love seeing students take what they’ve learned and turn it into something they can proudly share with others.
Way to go, sixth grade...you are reaching for the stars! ⭐️
