The school year is winding down, but now is the time for our Bluestreak athletes to put in the work and prepare for the 2026–2027 seasons!

There are many chances this summer for athletes to improve their skills through open gyms, workouts, camps, scrimmages, and weight room sessions. The summer gym, field, and weight room schedule is full of opportunities to participate in football, HS girls basketball, HS boys basketball, JH girls basketball, JH boys basketball, HS volleyball, JH volleyball, elementary volleyball, JH softball, and HS softball.

Parents and athletes should join and follow their team’s TeamReach group to stay up to date on all opportunities to work on skills, have fun, and participate in competitive scrimmages.

MES was bursting with color today as we celebrated our AR Color Run! Our Bluestreaks have been reading their way to earn t-shirts and the chance to race through all the colorful fun. Families joined us to throw color, cheer on students, and make memories together! A huge THANK YOU to the fire department for kicking off the Color Run with a splash of water fun — it was the perfect start to an amazing event! We have LOTS more pictures to share, so keep watching our page for more colorful smiles and fun!

We proudly honored our 6th grade Yellow Brick Winners this week. These outstanding students have truly paved the way this year through their character, leadership, kindness, and perseverance. The Yellow Brick Award recognizes students who consistently show what it means to be a Bluestreak by demonstrating GRIT each and every day. They lead by example, make positive choices, encourage others, and leave a lasting impact on our school family. As part of this special tradition, each student placed their blue handprint on the wall to serve as a shining example for future Bluestreaks for years to come. Their handprints represent the mark they have left on MES — one of hard work, determination, and heart.

Mrs. Evers’ classroom had 3 very special students who worked hard all year earning and saving their Disney Dollars through positive choices, hard work, and classroom success. Instead of spending their rewards right away, these girls patiently saved for the ultimate prize, a magical trip to the Bibbidi Bluestreak Boutique! Today, our sweet Bluestreak princesses were transformed into Disney royalty complete with glam, sparkle, and big smiles! These girls are already shining princesses in our classrooms each and every day through their kindness, leadership, and hard work, but today was extra magical. And honestly… while the girls had an amazing time, we think the adults in the building may have had even MORE fun watching the magic happen! To make the day even more magical… the princesses even found a Prince Charming roaming the playground during recess!

Elsa may have frozen the letters in Kindergarten… but our Bluestreaks know how to MELT the ice to keep learning! Our little learners had so much fun discovering letters hidden in ice while building literacy skills through hands-on learning, games, and puzzles.

Mrs. Feliciano’s class had a “toy-tastic” time creating their very own Forky from Toy Story! Not only was this a fun Disney-themed activity, but it also helped students build creativity, fine motor skills, following directions, and problem-solving skills while expressing their imaginations. Hands-on projects like these encourage teamwork, confidence, and joyful learning in the classroom.
