Mrs. Smith is a passionate and dedicated 2nd grade teacher who truly makes a difference each and every day. Her classroom is filled with positivity, encouragement, and a love for learning. She greets everyone with the brightest smile and always has uplifting words for her students and colleagues. Her commitment to her students goes far beyond academics; she builds relationships, inspires confidence, and helps every child feel valued and capable. It’s an ABC Countdown to Summer in Mrs. Young’s 1st grade! Today was “I is for Ice Cream” and that meant ALL the sprinkles and toppings! Smiles were big and the treats were even sweeter.

It’s been a busy week at MES! Our students have been hard at work researching and building bird feeders, learning about gardens and planting seeds, and sharing their love of reading. We love seeing hands-on learning and curiosity in action! A special highlight, Miss Paula had two sweet readers stop by to share a story with her today. Moments like these remind us what it’s all about. Great things are growing at MES!

It doesn’t get much better than this at MES! Kindergarten readers falling in love with books, kids racing Miss Jenn down the slide with big smiles, special guest readers from 1st grade sharing their love of reading, and Mrs. Poston teaching students how to carefully candle an egg while learning about the growth of a chick. These are the moments that make elementary school so special, hands-on learning, joyful memories, and lots of smiles along the way!
