Our preschoolers have been busy learning all about shapes, and they had so much fun putting their learning into action by creating their very own basketballs!

Our 7th grade Social Studies students have been learning about geography and the different biomes of the world! As part of their learning, students created biome trioramas to showcase the unique landscapes, plants, animals, and characteristics found in different regions around the globe. We love seeing our students bring geography to life through creativity and hands-on learning! Great job, 7th graders!

Five of our Martinsville High School students traveled to Eastern Illinois University on Wednesday afternoon to participate in ILMEA Prep Day! Students had the opportunity to work with music educators and strengthen their skills as they prepare to audition for the ILMEA District Choir and Band. We are proud of these students for taking advantage of this opportunity to grow as musicians and represent Martinsville High School. Best of luck as you prepare for your upcoming auditions! 💙🤍 Let’s go, Bluestreaks!

Miss Rayhel’s 4th graders combined history and STEM for some hands-on learning! Since Mount Rushmore is our Landmark of the Month, students learned about the history behind this famous American landmark and then worked together in groups to build their own versions. The challenge? See who could create the widest and tallest Mount Rushmore! We love seeing our students collaborate, problem-solve, and bring what they’re learning to life!

Today, we celebrated the completion of our first Bluestreak House Service Project!

Mrs. Cross’ Virtus House spent the morning giving back to our community by helping care for the Lincoln School Museum. Our high school house members rolled up their sleeves and tackled yard work, swept and dusted away winter cobwebs, and helped generally spruce up the 1880s one-room schoolhouse historical site.

We are proud of our students for giving their time and energy to help preserve an important piece of our local history. What a great way to put Bluestreak pride into action and make a difference in our community!

Today, our staff took a little time to celebrate two very special occasions!

We celebrated Mrs. Schnetzler and her upcoming new arrival, as well as Ms. Henn as she prepares to say “I do” and begin this exciting new chapter.

It was a brief celebration, but a wonderful opportunity for our staff to come together, share some smiles, and celebrate these exciting milestones with two very special members of our school family.

Congratulations, Mrs. Schnetzler and Ms. Henn! We are so happy to celebrate with you and wish you both all the best in the exciting days ahead.

We love seeing our Bluestreak fans come out to support our student-athletes! As we continue through the season, we want to remind everyone of a few guidelines that will help make our athletic events safe, positive, and family-friendly for everyone.

A few important reminders:

-Elementary-aged students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. We ask that children remain with their parents/guardians during the game.

- Please enter through the appropriate designated entrances.

- Running around or other unsupervised behavior is not permitted.

- Please help us keep our stadium and facilities clean by using the trash cans provided.

- Cheer for our Bluestreaks while remaining positive and respectful toward players, coaches, officials, and other fans.

- Please follow all school rules and directions from school staff.

These guidelines are necessary to help ensure that our athletic events remain safe, positive, and family-friendly for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep our students and spectators safe.
