From Nurse Kannmacher:
Kindness isn’t just something we practice at school… it begins at home. 💙🏡
Our students are working on helping, encouraging, and showing love to their families this month.
We love seeing our Bluestreaks grow into kind and thoughtful individuals—both at school and at home! ⚡

Check out the athletic events for this week!

Mrs. Young’s first graders were all a flutter today as they released their beautiful butterflies!
Students have loved watching the amazing transformation from caterpillar to butterfly and learning all about the life cycle along the way. Today was the perfect ending as their tiny classroom friends spread their wings and flew away.
What a magical learning experience for these little Bluestreaks!

Upcoming fun at MES!

Mrs. Skidmore’s 2nd graders got to experience a very special moment today as they released the butterflies they have been raising in their classroom!

Mrs. Smith’s 2nd graders have been busy raising butterflies in their classroom while learning all about the butterfly life cycle. Today was the exciting day they finally released their beautiful little friends to spread their wings and fly away! Watching the students’ excitement and wonder was truly special.
Meanwhile, Miss Paula and Mrs. Cooper were treated to some extra sweetness today thanks to Mrs. Feliciano’s kindergartners! Our little Bluestreaks shared some very special gifts that definitely brought big smiles to our day.
It’s the little moments like these that make Martinsville Elementary such a joyful place to learn and grow!

Next Friday!

Look at these happy 2nd grade faces!
Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Skidmore’s classes had a wonderful time learning about Cinco de Mayo and celebrating through fun hands-on activities and creative projects. It’s always exciting to see students learning about traditions and cultures while making memories together in the classroom!

Miss Paula brought the fun today as she broke out her DJ skills for a school-wide “Name That Song” game!
Students and teachers listened carefully, raced to be the first to call the office with the correct song title, and helped their teacher win a prize!
The halls were filled with excitement, cheering, laughter, and lots of happy faces. We love creating little moments like these that bring joy, teamwork, and fun to our school day. Great job to all of our music experts today!

Happy Nurses Appreciation Day to our amazing school nurse, Nurse Kannmacher!
Thank you for the kindness, care, and compassion you show our students and staff every single day. Whether it’s a bandage, a comforting smile, or simply being there when someone needs help, you always make our school a better and safer place. Your patience and caring heart never go unnoticed.

Mrs. Feliciano’s class got creative today while combining fun and learning!
Students used colorful Easter eggs to design and build their very own caterpillar fidget toys. These hands-on creations kept little minds engaged while encouraging creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving.
