MES is launching our Bluestreak Brain Busters program this week! This school wide initiative helps students build strong math fact fluency, the foundation for success in problem solving and higher-level math thinking.
Each week, students will take grade level fluency tests and students who meet their goal will earn Brain Buster cards for our hallway display. At the end of each month, two lucky names will be drawn from the chart to win a special prize from the office. Classroom teachers will also be rewarding and encouraging our students each step of the way in their rooms.
Families, look for your note home this week to share more details. Together, we can make math exciting, engaging, and confidence building for all!

The Martinsville Jr./Sr. High School wrapped up a great week with an exciting Pep Assembly led by our High School Cheerleaders and Band! The energy was high as we geared up for tomorrow’s Home Football Game vs. St. Anne.

What a wonderful week at MES! Our students have been learning, growing, and shining bright in so many ways. 💙 A special shout-out to our 2nd graders who read Wemberly Worried this week. After enjoying the story, they shared thoughtful projects about worries, bravery, and how we can support each other. Their creativity and kindness are inspiring! We are so proud of all our Bluestreaks and the great things happening each day. 💙

MES was excited to welcome a new feathered friend in town… meet Gertie Goose!
Gertie greeted our students in her fabulous back-to-school outfit. Not only does she look amazing, but she lays Golden Eggs each week awarding classes who show excellence by:
✔️ Keeping their classrooms clean
✔️ Walking quietly in the halls
✔️ Following recess rules
✔️ Showing respect and responsibility during specials
Bluestreaks never know where Gertie might pop up next, but they always know she’s on the lookout for classes who show true GRIT! 💙
