A huge congratulations goes out to Mrs. Smith! She was honored by the ROE with the Educator of Excellence Award, and we couldn’t be more proud!
Mrs. Smith is a passionate and dedicated 2nd grade teacher who truly makes a difference each and every day. Her classroom is filled with positivity, encouragement, and a love for learning. She greets everyone with the brightest smile and always has uplifting words for her students and colleagues. Her commitment to her students goes far beyond academics; she builds relationships, inspires confidence, and helps every child feel valued and capable.
Mrs. Smith represents what it means to be a Bluestreak through her kindness, hard work, and unwavering dedication. Martinsville Elementary is incredibly fortunate to have her on our team. This recognition is so well deserved, and we are proud to celebrate you, Mrs. Smith! 💙

It’s an ABC Countdown to Summer in Mrs. Young’s 1st grade!
Today was “I is for Ice Cream” and that meant ALL the sprinkles and toppings! Smiles were big and the treats were even sweeter.

It’s been a busy week at MES!
Our students have been hard at work researching and building bird feeders, learning about gardens and planting seeds, and sharing their love of reading. We love seeing hands-on learning and curiosity in action!
A special highlight, Miss Paula had two sweet readers stop by to share a story with her today. Moments like these remind us what it’s all about.
Great things are growing at MES!
