Our first graders have been hopping right into learning this week! They’ve been working hard on Easter-themed math and phonics activities, building their skills while having lots of fun along the way. From counting and problem-solving to practicing sounds and words, these students are doing an egg-cellent job! Meanwhile, Mrs. Skidmore’s second graders had a surprise guest… a cat! We’re not sure if it came to help with learning or just to check out all the fun, but it definitely made the day a little more purr-fect! And we’re sharing a few more snapshots from our 5th & 6th grade checkers tournament, so many great matches, big smiles, and some serious strategy happening!

Last week, our students worked incredibly hard each morning taking the IAR tests, and we couldn’t be more proud of their effort and determination! In the afternoons, our 5th and 6th grade teachers added some fun and excitement by organizing a checker tournament! Students competed in a bracket-style challenge, showing off their strategy, focus, and sportsmanship as they faced off against one another. After some great matches, we crowned a champion, congratulations to our 5th grade winner!

Our Foods class recently took on a fun Food Challenge with Jennifer Bishop from the Clark County Extension Office!

Students put their creativity and teamwork to the test while preparing their dishes, which were judged by Jennifer Bishop and Mr. Evers.

Congratulations to our winning group: Ireland, June, and Mari for their delicious protein wrap!

Great job to all of our students for their effort, creativity, and willingness to try something new. What a great hands-on learning experience! It’s a great day to be a Bluestreak. 💙

The Martinsville Jr./Sr. High School Band recently traveled to Heartland Nursing Home in Casey to share a special concert with residents, and it was a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

Our students truly enjoyed performing, and the residents were delighted by the visit. Opportunities like this are a great reminder of how music can bring people together and brighten someone’s day.

A big thank you to Ms. Carpenter and her student teacher, Miss Lia Rigdon, for organizing this meaningful service activity and creating such a positive experience for our students and the community.

It’s a great day to be a Bluestreak! 🎶💙

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff for the incredible support shown during our very first Bluestreak Bakery Pop-Up at the Jr./Sr. High School!

Our students worked hard preparing baked goods, confirming orders, handling money, and delivering treats throughout the building. They absolutely loved being part of the experience, and it was exciting to see them practicing real-life skills.

A special shout-out to Mrs. Cochnour and Mrs. Maxwell for taking this idea and making it happen.

It’s a great day to be a Bluestreak!
