The Martinsville Jr./Sr. High School Band recently traveled to Heartland Nursing Home in Casey to share a special concert with residents, and it was a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

Our students truly enjoyed performing, and the residents were delighted by the visit. Opportunities like this are a great reminder of how music can bring people together and brighten someone’s day.

A big thank you to Ms. Carpenter and her student teacher, Miss Lia Rigdon, for organizing this meaningful service activity and creating such a positive experience for our students and the community.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff for the incredible support shown during our very first Bluestreak Bakery Pop-Up at the Jr./Sr. High School!

Our students worked hard preparing baked goods, confirming orders, handling money, and delivering treats throughout the building. They absolutely loved being part of the experience, and it was exciting to see them practicing real-life skills.

A special shout-out to Mrs. Cochnour and Mrs. Maxwell for taking this idea and making it happen.

Due to wet field conditions, the softball game for today is canceled. This game is rescheduled for Monday, April 6th @ HOME vs St. Elmo @ 4:30.

Mrs. Conzen’s class has some egg-citing news… the chicks have arrived! 🐣 You can see the joy and excitement all over their faces as they watch these little ones make their big debut. MES is definitely peeping with excitement this week! 🐥🎉

Mrs. Feliciano and her students enjoyed this beautiful day outdoors creating nature catchers! Students explored the wonders of nature and found all sorts of treasures to add to their catchers. What a fun and hands-on way to enjoy the beauty all around us! 🌿☀️

Mrs. Manuel’s 3rd graders are egg-cited to welcome their newly hatched chicks! The classroom has been full of smiles, wonder, and lots of “peep peep” as students watched this incredible life cycle come to life right before their eyes. 🐥

🐣 Our Bluestreaks are cheeping with excitement! 🐣 Mrs. Ellington’s 4th graders are proud new “parents” as their chicks hatched this week! The smiles, curiosity, and joy in the classroom have been absolutely egg-stra special. 🐥 A big THANK YOU to Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom for providing the incubators and helping make this hands-on learning experience possible for our students. Opportunities like this bring learning to life in the best way! We are so proud of our students and their hard work caring for these little ones! 🐣

After a tough 13–12 loss to Oblong last night, the Lady Bluestreaks are right back in action tonight at HOME against Arcola! ⚾💙 Come out and support the Bluestreaks as they take the field and look to get a win. Mrs. Feliciano’s students were busy “hopping” into their learning as they worked on jumping their letter sounds to make words! Just like little bunnies jumping from one spot to the next, our students are blending sounds together and growing stronger readers every day. We are so proud of their hard work and excitement for learning! Keep hopping, Bluestreaks… spring into reading is in full swing! 🌼💙

It's Game Day!

To Parents/Guardians of 3rd - 6th Graders: State testing is this week, and we want all of our students to feel confident and ready to do their best! Parents can help by making sure students get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day of testing. Encouraging a positive attitude and reminding them to simply try their best can make a big difference. Thank you for partnering with us to help our students show what they know and succeed!

Miss Gowin's fourth graders have been hard at work preparing for the IAR Math test! Students were engaged in thoughtful partner discussions, reviewing answers, and thinking outside the box to deepen their understanding. We love seeing that kind of teamwork and problem-solving in action! They are feeling confident and ready to shine next week! 🌟 And to top it off, Nurse Kannmacher had a special visit from two students who stopped by to share a fun song from a book they’ve been reading, spreading smiles and joy throughout the day! Keep up the great work, Bluestreaks! 💙

Mrs. Young’s first graders are LOVING their new classroom books and can’t wait to dive into reading! We are so proud to share that every single student met their AR goal last quarter AND qualified for the Color Run, what an incredible accomplishment! This success is a true reflection of their hard work, dedication, and love for learning. Keep up the amazing work, first grade!
